The Tour de l’Avenir, a cycling race created and supported by the Tour de France, is a genuine preparatory race for the future hopes of world cycling. Proof, if proof were needed, is that the best riders of the moment were also the best riders in the Tour de l’Avenir!
For its 61st edition, the Tour de l’Avenir will be stopping off in Tignes on 28 August 2025. Come and cheer on the future stars of cycling!
This 5th and penultimate stage of the Tour de l’Avenir 2025 will take place between Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc and Tignes.
This major 126-kilometre stage has a positive altitude difference of almost 4,052 metres. All the ingredients for a breathless, intense race!
The roads used by the riders will be temporarily closed (approximately 15 minutes before the riders pass and for a maximum of 45 minutes) and parking restrictions will apply. Thank you in advance for your understanding and enjoy the show!
The Haute-Tarentaise, the usual meeting place for the event, will be the epicentre, with the Grands Départs taking the form of prologues from Tignes. This will be the first stage of the event for Tignes, before welcoming the finish of stage 5 a few days later.
The Grand Départ from Tignes will be the occasion for two events:
Between Tignes les Brévières and Tignes 1800
Between Aoste and Saint-Galmier
Between Saint-Symphorien-sur-Coise and Vitry-en-Charollais
Between Etang-sur-Arroux and Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne
Between Montagnat and Val-Suran
Between Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc and Tignes le Lac
La Rosière Espace San Bernardo
Between Montvalezan and La Rosière
