THE JOY OF SKIING FOR EVERYONE
Like the high-level athletes with disabilities, anyone with a disability can enjoy the pleasures of skiing. And in Tignes, they can!
All parts of the ski area are practicable depending on the level of the participant.
Every ski run in Tignes is accessible, with the exception of the top of the glacier (3500, Glacier and Descente) since the Grande Motte cable car isn’t able to accommodate people in wheelchairs due to evacuation requirements if the cable car were to break down.
Access to the Grande Motte ski runs is mainly via the Lanches and Vanoise chairlifts. The Perce-Neige funicular isn’t recommended due to the steps at the stations at the top and bottom, but despite this, athletes with disabilities training on the glacier in the summer and the autumn do use it.
Limited access to the following skilifts:
Lifts | Access handicap chair | Access handicap ski-chair |
Brévières Gandola | NO | YES |

Disablity cardholders and the person accompanying them benefit from a 50% reduction on the public rate* (buying at the same time, same duration, same ski area). Ski passes can be purchased directly in resort at the STGM sales points.
